Editorial policy
Coastal Style Review aims to make careful, readable work about coastal style and seaside life. We distinguish observable details from interpretation, check factual statements before publication and make changes when a piece needs correction.
Accuracy and clarity
We review names, descriptions and factual claims before publication and use wording that makes uncertainty clear. Our articles focus on general-interest design and culture, not professional, safety-critical or locally regulated advice. Illustrations help convey an idea; they are not evidence of a place or object unless the caption says otherwise.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Partner or sponsored material is clearly identified wherever it appears, and a partnership does not guarantee editorial coverage or a favourable view. We do not present paid material as independent reporting.
Corrections and AI illustrations
Readers can send correction requests through the Contact page. We review them and amend material when warranted, with a clear note when a substantial correction changes a reader's understanding. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are identified as illustrations and are not presented as documentary photographs.
Notice what the tide leaves in view
Coastal style is more than shells and stripes. We look at the forms, materials and visual habits that grow from living beside the water.
