Coastal Style Review

Write for us

We welcome considered pitches about coastal design and the visual culture of seaside life. A strong proposal has a clear question, a distinct point of view and a useful reason for readers to spend time with the subject.

What we are looking for

Pitch ideas that fit our sections, from the form of a seaside structure to the materials, motifs, colours or customs that shape a coastal scene. We are especially interested in focused subjects that can be explained without specialist access, invented anecdotes or claims that depend on unsupported statistics.

What to include

Use the Contact page to send a short proposal describing the central idea, why it suits Coastal Style Review and how you would approach it. Include any relevant experience or links to previous work only if you wish. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication; we will consider fit, clarity and originality.

A careful approach

Contributions should distinguish fact from opinion, respect the context of places and people, and avoid giving safety-critical or professional instructions. Please do not send confidential information or work that relies on unauthorised material. We will discuss scope and terms if an idea is of interest.

Our point of view

Notice what the tide leaves in view

Coastal style is more than shells and stripes. We look at the forms, materials and visual habits that grow from living beside the water.
